Get to know Neonatologist Dr. Marc de Soler, who serves patients in Monroe, Louisiana.

As a highly-trained neonatologist, Dr. de Soler cares for the critically ill newborn and premature infants. He is the Medical Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St. Francis Medical Center and Co-Medical Director of the NICU at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in Monroe, Louisiana. For over a century, St. Francis Medical Center’s mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to those most in need has remained constant. From its modest beginning in July 1913 as a three-story red brick building with 75 patient beds, today St. Francis Medical Center consists of several locations providing a host of services. The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University Autonomous Barcelona in 1978. He then went on to perform his residency in pediatrics at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Medical Center in New York in 1984, followed by his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Cornell University, North Shore University Hospital in 1987.
